Risk is what Investors are being paid to bear … but we seek to better understand and avoid uncompensated risks in exchange for those that provide real opportunity. We engage in active asset management of our portfolio to mitigate inherent risk in order to capture superior returns while ensuring capital preservation.
Our competitive advantage is derived from applying global awareness to local sub-markets in order to maintain granular asset level knowledge. We pay close attention to the fundamental characteristics of the project Sponsors, their credit background, and the collateral assets in play. Our approach is to identify the underlying value drivers so that we may anticipate changes in behavior. We achieve this by maintaining a local market presence either directly, or through established relationships with knowledgeable affiliates.
